Substitute Job Requirements

To start the application process for employment, click on the following link: http://schooljobs.dpi.state.nc.us/. This will link you to the North Carolina Online Application System. Once you have created your online account with Username and Password, you may proceed with building an application. Complete the Substitute online application and be sure to select Guilford County Schools when you select the school district to which you are applying.

Substitutes for Teachers and Teacher Assistants:
Please note: Based on recent interpretation of federal statutes, the district is implementing an immediate practice of seeking candidates with a minimum of two years of college (48 semester hours) or an associate degree with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Applicants must provide transcripts for verification. Mail to 712 N. Eugene St. Greensboro, NC 27401.

Complete a Health Certificate. (Click on Health Certificate and it will take you to the form for printing.)

Complete a Criminal Release Check form. (Click on Criminal Release Check form and it will take you to the form for printing.)

UPON COMPLETION OF THE SUBSTITUTE PACKET, APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO AN ORIENTATION AT THE CENTRAL OFFICE.
