Marcellus E. Waddill Excellence in Teaching Award

Sally Smith is the recipient of the Marcellus E. Waddill Excellence in Teaching Award given to Wake Forest alumni who are making a difference in education. She is currently a teacher at Kernodle Middle School. Sally uses games, interactive activities and demonstrations to teach concepts to her students and also makes home visits to parents to ensure academic success. Sally received the award in October, named for a retired Wake Forest University professor.
