The Guilford County Board of Education held a public forum on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Jamestown Middle School to listen to concerns and answer questions about the proposed Jamestown Middle School and Autism Wing. Chairman Alan Duncan delivered opening remarks beginning at 7:05 p.m. The following Board members were present: Jeff Belton, Alan Duncan, Darlene Garrett, Garth Hébert, Dot Kearns, Amos Quick, Nancy Routh and Anita Sharpe. Board members Walter Childs, Kris Cooke and Deena Hayes were absent. Staff members present were Chief Operations Officer Leo Bobadilla and Executive Director of Facilities Andy LaRowe. Members of the public who were in attendance were given the opportunity to make comments and ask questions regarding the proposed project. The forum was an open dialogue between board members and members of the public. Registration to address the board was available prior to the start of the meeting. At 9:10 p.m., with no further public comments, the forum concluded. |
