RE:	Magnet School Program Update

At the Board meeting on January 31, 2008, Tony Burks, Director of Magnet and Choice Schools, will present a school-by-school overview of existing magnet programs and high school options. This item is a continuation from the Board Retreat that was held on Saturday, January 26.

Also, staff was asked to provide an update on the funding used to support magnet and high school option programs. A spreadsheet reflecting such costs is attached. Chief Financial Officer Sharon Ozment will present this information at the Board meeting on January 31, 2008.
