School Bond Grassroots Committee Recognition

For months leading up to the May 6 primary, a group of Guilford County citizens worked tirelessly on behalf of the students of Guilford County Schools, both present and future, to help voters understand the imperative need of passing the two school bonds on the ballot.  This grassroots committee did an excellent job in communicating the need for new and renovated schools to help ease overcrowding, and they illustrated this need with passion and determination, scheduling countless speaking engagements, providing written information and helping GCS make its case for the children in our county.  As a result, voters approved both bonds, and the first projects are underway.
