The Early College at Guilford FIRST Robotics Team Recognition

The Early College at Guilford’s FIRST Robotics Team 1533, also known as Triple Strange, received the Engineering Inspiration Award at the FIRST Robotics Peachtree Regional held in Duluth, Ga.  The award celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school and community. Team 1533, which also made it into the semifinal rounds of the regional competition, was recognized for its sponsorship of 12 new FIRST teams, from Lego Leagues to three new rookie Robotics teams that joined them at the Peachtree Regional.  The team went on to represent Guilford County Schools at the championships in Atlanta.

Team 1533 Triple Strange is a strong alliance of Guilford County high schools and includes members from The Early College at Guilford, Grimsley, Northwest, Wesleyan Christian Academy and Southwest, as well as home-schooled students.
