RE:	Title I Parents’ Participation in Conferences

As required by No Child Left Behind legislation, the Local Education Agency (LEA) must reserve 1% of total Title I allocations for parental involvement with 95% of its reserved funds allocated to individual schools. Guilford County Schools allocates 100% of these reserved funds to the schools.

Title I schools design their Title I Parent Involvement Plan in collaboration with school staff and parents as required by NCLB. Schools use data to support strategies to meet the needs of their parents.
