RE:	Approval of Encroachment Agreement – Pruette SCALE School Campus

Renovations at the Pruette SCALE School site at 900 West English Road in High Point require GCS to tap into a water line in the English Road right-of-way. In order to accomplish this, NCDOT is requiring that GCS sign and deliver an encroachment agreement (as attached). The water line tap is necessary in order to install a new 6” fire line from the building to the water line in the street, which will provide necessary water supply to the sprinklers being installed in the building.

GCS legal counsel has reviewed this packet of materials.

RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends that the Board approve the execution and delivery of the encroachment agreement required by NCDOT, as described herein, affecting the Pruette SCALE School campus.
