Personnel Allocation Process
Annually, the GCS reviews it allotment process and revises allocations based on many factors, including but not limited to legislation at the federal and state level, policy changes at the federal, state, and local level, and existing needs within the organization. During the 2009-10 school year, GCS will be faced with the additional challenge of negative state economic forecasts, and the impact those factors will have on district budgets and personnel allotments.
Administration will provide an overview of the timelines and constraints for personnel allotments, discuss the current allocation formulas and provide some samples of how formulas would yield the resources needed in the budgeting cycle.
