2008 Bond HVAC Projects - Selection of Engineering Firms

Staff has identified engineering firms for several Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) projects included in the 2008 Construction Bond. Ten projects have been identified as high priority for work to be completed in 2009. A Request for Qualifications for engineering services was issued on November 3, 2008. Fourteen proposals were received and reviewed by Facilities staff. Details regarding the assignment of engineering firms to specific HVAC projects were presented to the Architect Selection Committee on February 11, 2009. The recommended assignments are as follows:

RECOMMENDATION:The administration recommends that the Board approve staff to negotiate design contracts with firms, as described herein, for selected HVAC projects included in the 2008 School Construction Bond.
