RE:	Proposed Revisions to 2009-10 Extended-Year and Year-Round Calendars

A revision to the 2009-10 extended-year and year-round calendars is being submitted for your review and approval.

At its regular meeting on May 12, the board approved several revisions to both calendars in order to align them with the 2009-10 traditional calendar. However, the calendars did not include a change to the last early release day of the school year. This omission was not detected until after the board’s vote.

The requested change for the extended-year and year-round calendars is as follows:

Move the early release day on April 21 to April 22.

RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends that the board approve this revision to the 2009-10 extended-year and year-round calendars as part of the consent agenda.
