Staff Reports

Magnet Grant Implementation Update
Dr. Eric Becoats, chief of staff, presented to the board the proposed boundary maps and budget recommendations for the magnet feeder plan. The board deferred taking action on this item until the next meeting.

Bond Referendum
The board approved for the bond referendum to be presented to the Guilford County Commissioners, as presented by Leo Bobadilla, chief operations officer, and Joe Hill, facilities.

Contractual Agreement with Samet Corporation for Pre-Construction Services at Union Hill Elementary
The board approved to award a contract to Samet Corporation for Pre-Construction services at Union Hill Elementary in the amount of $72,230, as presented by Leo Bobadilla, chief operations officer.

Guilford County Board of Education meetings are broadcast live on GCSTV 2 (cable channel 2) and re-air the day after the meeting at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the Saturday following the meeting at 1 p.m.
