Business leaders understand the connection between successful public schools and a favorable climate for economic development. Through an effort to maximize the positive effect that Guilford County Schools (GCS) has on the Triad’s business and industry, Action Greensboro initiated the Commitment to Excellence program in 2001.

Recently, the businesses involved in Commitment to Excellence fully funded an initiative to inform the business community about GCS’s ongoing drive for excellence through an informational campaign known as, “Striving. Achieving. Excelling.”

This informative campaign brings to life the students, educators and community volunteers, who strive, achieve and excel everyday at GCS.

It includes:

• Newspaper Ads
• Magazine Ads
• Brochures
• Web Content
• Speaking Materials

In six years, more than 30 Guilford County businesses and corporations have invested approximately $5 million in a variety of different initiatives to recognize and reward achievement at GCS. 

And for that, GCS is extremely grateful!
