Projects Under Construction
Dudley High School - Building Package
Dudley is the only project left that was part of the original 2000 bond program. The Dudley project is progressing at the pace it should. In building “A”, the renovated structure, the above ceiling inspection for floors 2 & 3 has been completed for everything except electrical.
In Building “A” the construction electrical trim is 95% complete on the first floor and 95% complete on the second floor and 98% complete on the third floor. The communication is 98% complete on the first floor, and 95% complete on floors two and three. The ceiling grid is 100% complete on all three floors. The fire alarm system is 70% complete on all three floors. The floor tile is 85% complete on the second and third floors. Plumbing trims are 99% complete on the two upper floors and 20% complete on the first floor. Casework is 95% complete on the first floor. Painting is 99% compete on floors one and two. Installation of the lockers is scheduled to begin this week.
In Building “B”, the media center is progressing with cabinets being installed.
The exterior metal panels are 100% complete, the roof trim is 80% complete, the electrical trim is 12% complete, and communications for the media center is 80% complete.
In Buildings “D” and “E”, the 3 story addition, there is still work to be completed on the courtyard. This is creating difficulty in maintaining the interior environment. The courtyard and closing in the rest of the building is scheduled to be done by December 15, 2004. Currently the plumbing is delaying the interior finishes.
The hook up of the kitchen equipment is continuing. The finished floor of the kitchen area is 98% complete and the electrical rough in is 98% complete. The ceiling grid placement is 75% complete. The flooring is 10% complete on the lower level. The store front (window framing, etc.) is 90% complete.
On the first level of the “D” and “E” building the gas meter has been approved for installation. The plumbing is lagging and slowing the finishes. The CMU is 99% complete and the above ceiling plumbing rough-in is 99% complete. The above ceiling electrical rough-in is 99% complete. The ceiling grid placement is 99% complete.
On the second level of “D” and “E” building, the acid piping rough-ins are complete. The fixtures for the bathroom have not been placed for building E. The electrical main runs are in progress and feeder wiring is in progress. The CMU is 98% complete. Plumbing is 80% complete. Brick placement is 99% complete with the brick being placed on the back side of the arch being completed. Electrical rough-in is 80% complete on the second level. Drywall placement is 99% complete.
In Building “C” the computer labs electrical rough-in is 80% complete and communications is 90% complete.
In the courtyard the trench drain for the is 80% complete, the fine grading is 98% complete, and the flat work 90% complete.
The site work under ground is complete and the paving is 80% complete. 98% of the curb and gutters are in place.
Oak Ridge Elementary School
Brick has been completed on the exterior of area “G”. Exterior studs and sheathing is complete on wing “F”, ”C” and three walls of “E” wing. Concrete block walls are complete on “B” and exterior sheathing is 99% complete on wing “B”. HVAC rough-in is complete in wings ”G”, ”F”, “E”, “C” and “B”. Interior studs and frames are complete in “C” administrative wing. Electrical conduit are installed in “C” wing. Structure is completely installed for the canopies and decking has started on parts of the canopies structure. Decking is installed on all the buildings. HVAC drops are being installed in kindergarten wing “G”. Interior studs and door frames are installed in about 50% of wing “E”. Work is progressing in the food service area. Brick is installed on the exterior wall of building “C” that connects to the existing gym. Steel is set between the new building and the portion that will be renovated.
