GCS "Building Futures"
Middle School Updates
Jamestown Middle
Construction is moving along at Jamestown Middle since the groundbreaking ceremony on January 23. The bus loop road is now complete with base material placed on the north side of the school site. A concrete retaining wall has been poured, and forms are stripped on the north side of the building site. As footings are dug and poured, plumbing and electrical rough-ins are underway.
The eagerly anticipated replacement school will open in the fall of 2010. The new building will accommodate more than 1,000 students.
