Culinary Arts and Food Service Curriculum Highlights

In Culinary Arts and Hospitality, students gain experience in food production, management, and service activities. Half of the course work is a school - based enterprise where students prepare food for the school restaurant or for catered events. There are opportunities for apprenticeships in the hotels and restaurants for students who and are interested in further exploration while in high school.

Career opportunities in this field range from entry level to those requiring extensive education and include Hotel and Restaurant Management, Chefs, Culinary Arts Directors, and Food Service.

Salaries range from minimum wage entry level positions, to over $50,000.00 for experienced chefs.
