American Express Recognizes Allen Jay Elementary Volunteer

Although Paul Ferrer’s grandchildren no longer attend Allen Jay Elementary, he continues to dedicate his time to the school, and the students know they can count on “Grandpa Paul” to read to them, be their lunch buddy or simply be a kind and gentle person to confide in. He extends that level of caring to the staff, too, and when they see him walking the three blocks from his house to the school to volunteer, they know they’re in for a special treat that day.
