Welcome to the website of Northern Guilford High School's Straight Alliance (GSA)! The GSA is a club at Northern High with the fundamental aim of enhancing the school community's understanding and acceptance of issues related to sexuality. The GSA consists of students who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) as well as straight allies. The faculty sponsors are English Teacher, Ms. Latta and Librarian, Mrs. Anderson-Kolovitz. The GSA club is a safe place for students to meet with peers. The main goal is to help every student feel comfortable and accepting about his or her respective sexuality.  The GSA seeks to realize this goal by helping members of the school community embrace diversity in the fullest sense. Indeed this mission is integral to Northern's Belief Statement,

 We invite you to peruse the website, to attend a meeting, and to become involved! Meetings are usually held every Monday in the Library.  Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings and if you can't make it to every meeting that is fine, just drop by whenever you can.
