IB applications for the 2013-2014 year will be available online Saturday, January 26

Students whose high school attendance zone is Western, Northwest, Dudley or Grimsley may apply for the Grimsley International Baccalaureate program. All students wishing to participate in the IB Program should complete the application, including those in the Grimsley zone.

Completed applications should be returned to Grimsley High School to the attention of Christina Purgason, IB Coordinator.

Students wishing to apply for Grimsley's IB Programme must:

•Successfully complete Algebra I prior to ninth grade

•Score a level III or IV on all End of Grade tests taken in middle school (or commensurate test results if from private or out-of-state schools)

•Provide a writing sample with the application 

•Provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher of a core subject

•Maintain an overall "A/B" average in his/her 8th grade courses

Once the IB Coordinator receives the application and verifies the criteria, she will immediately send the application to the Student Assignment Office which will notify families directly within approximately two weeks of their reassignment status and transportation arrangements.
