It is the mission of Northern Guilford Middle School to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for all students. We take bullying seriously and we will promptly act on any incidents that are reported. We hope that you will find the following steps helpful in resolving any concerns you have about student behavior.

If an incident occurs:

1.Contact the teacher where the incident happened (example: if an incident happened in PE class, the PE teacher should be notified; if an incident happened in a non-instructional setting, contact the homeroom teacher).

2.The teacher will investigate and follow up with the parent or the target student regarding findings and any further action steps within 5 working days. If the incident involves bullying as defined by GCS policy JCDAD-P. The principal or assistant principal will be immediately notified by the teacher.

3.The teacher will immediately notify the grade level administrator or principal if the incident is considered an act of bullying or discrimination as defined by GCS policy JCDAD-P.
