President: Presides at all meetings of the general membership and the board of directors, coordinates the work of officers, signs all contracts that are approved by the board, and serves as an ex officio voting member of all committees (except the nominating committee).

Vice President(s): Performs duties requested by the President and the Board of Directors.

Treasurer: Collects, deposits, and maintains all funds. Disburses funds in accordance with the annual budget adopted by the PTSA. Presents a financial report of income and expenses at each meeting.

Secretary: Records the minutes at all meetings of the general membership and the board of directors and maintains a file of important documents as pertaining to the PTSA.

Student Recognition: This committee rewards students based on GPA at the end of each quarter. This committee also provides recognition and incentives for student achievements.

Advocacy: This committee brings advocates for our students through various programs.

Beautification: This committee holds a fall and spring clean up of the NGHS campus. They also make plans for special beautification projects.

FanWear: This committee assists the Sports Marketing class in the selection and ordering of FanWear for our school store. The FanWear committee also helps to run the FanWear stand at the Friday night home football games.

Staff and Student Appreciation: This committee organizes appreciation events (Sundae party, luncheons, etc.) for the staff at NGHS. This committee also helps with the monthly Spirit of Northern breakfast.

Kids Voting: This committee organizes the Kids Voting program which allows students to “vote” in the elections in November of each year.

Membership: This committee leads the membership drive for our PTSA.

Mini-Grants: This committee reviews grant requests from teachers and staff members.

Reflections: This committee publicizes the PTA Reflections contest.

Senior Events: This committee of senior parents plans and organizes events for the senior class. Parents of students in the Class of 2014 make up this committee.

Summer Reading Book Sale: This committee helps to publicize and run the Summer Reading Book Sale in late spring. Titles for summer reading are available for purchase in our Media Center through a Barnes and Noble special sale event.

Tutoring: This committee leads the Nighthawk Tutoring Program. The tutoring program matches students with peer and parent tutors for after school tutoring sessions.

Volunteer Coordinator: This individual/committee organizes a database of volunteers. This committee helps recruit volunteers throughout the school year for various events.

(Passive) Fundraising: This committee helps to raise funds for our school through various fundraising programs (VIC/MVP cards, and other projects decided upon by the Board).

Webmaster: This individual helps to keep the NGHS PTSA website up to date and easy to navigate.
