Dr. Duncan shares the original version of My Dirty Cat Mutt -- the one she wrote and illustrated as a second-grader!

A Professor of Education at Meredith College, Dr. Duncan designed her newly published version of My Dirty Cat Mutt in the format of a dual reader, allowing the beginning reader to read independently or with an adult.

Madison students have lots of questions for our author.

A kindergartner has her copy of My Dirty Cat Mutt signed and personalized by the author.

At the end of the morning, Cassidy said goodbye to our visiting author. They're already old friends because Cassidy's mother and Dr. Duncan went to high school together!

First graders drew pictures and wrote stories about what they imagined Mutt might do tomorrow. Here are some of their terrific ideas: play in the snow, go to the zoo, paint a beautiful picture, find a pot of gold under a rainbow, and roll in the hay in the barn.
