Addressing the Board of Education
The Guilford County Schools is governed by an 11-member Board of Education. The Board generally meets at 6 p.m on the second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of each month unless otherwise posted on the Board's meeting schedule. Meeting times and agendas are typically posted on our web site on the Friday which precedes each Board meeting.
Persons wanting to publicly address the Board of Education may request to do so by registering prior to the regular monthly meeting (usually the second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of each month) with the Board clerk by calling 370-8100 before 5 p.m. or at the meeting site between 5:45-6 p.m. A maximum of three minutes is granted to each speaker, with a total of 45 minutes designated at the beginning of the meeting for all comments. Additional time will be allowed for public comments at the end of the meeting for any person that has registered to speak and was not afforded the opportunity to do so at the beginning of the meeting.
