Programs and Services

Guilford County's Exceptional Children program serves more than 10,000 students aged 3 to 22, and every effort is made to educate each child in the least restrictive environment. The district adheres to North Carolina's Policies Governing Services for Children with Disabilities, which is published by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Below are some of the programs and services offered to students with disabilities in the district who are deemed eligible by their IEP team.
