Approval of 2010-12 School Improvement Plans
The board approved the 2010-12 School Improvement Plans. Schools are required by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction to develop two-year School Improvement Plans for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years. The plans were developed by teams at the schools that included parent representatives and were supported by the regional offices.

The School Improvement Plans are aligned with North Carolina State Board of Education goals and the GCS Strategic Plan 2012. School Improvement Teams will meet quarterly during the next two years to determine their school’s progress toward meeting the outlined goals. Based upon their findings, the teams will revise strategies and action steps accordingly. The plans are posted on the district’s website and will be updated quarterly. Click here.
