The Communications Committee will promote and facilitate communications between members of the association and promote a positive image of school library media programs and professionals.
The Courtesy Committee will extend courtesies as set forth in the Courtesy Committee guidelines; coordinate social functions; work with Treasurer who will administer funds.
The Legislative/Advocacy Committee will spearhead representation and publicity to the community, School Board and the decision makers within Guilford County by monitoring the activities of the Guilford County School Board. They will inform the association of issues before the School Board of importance to the association. They will also distribute local and national information of interest to our profession.
The Professional Development Committee will encourage attendance/participation in state, regional, and national conferences and will also recognize the GASL Media Specialist of the Year.
The Technology Committee will identify issues and needs in the area of technology; promote the use of technology.
