Student Assignment Boundaries Adopted


Colfax Elementary Boundary Shift

On December 20, 2011, the Guilford County Board of Education voted unanimously on a student assignment boundary to help ease overcrowding at Pearce Elementary and Southwest Elementary while using Colfax Elementary to its full potential. Under the plan, about 100 students from Southwest Elementary and about 30 students from Pearce Elementary will move to Colfax Elementary in the 2012-13 school year.

Ronald E. McNair Elementary

On December 6, 2011, the Guilford County Board of Education adopted a student assignment boundary for the new Ronald E. McNair Elementary. Scenario A was selected, which impacts the current boundaries for Brightwood Elementary, Jesse Wharton Elementary and Northern Elementary.

2006 Assignment Plan Shift

On December 6, 2011, the Guilford County Board of Education voted not to implement the final phase of the 2006 Assignment Plan Shift for Madison Elementary, Rankin Elementary, Eastern Middle, Northeast Middle, Eastern High and Northeast High.

 

Oak Hill Satellite to Parkview Elementary Shift

On November 8, 2011, the Guilford County Board of Education approved a boundary cleanup for the boundaries of Oak Hill Elementary and Parkview Elementary.

Union Hill Boundary Cleanup

On August 25, 2011, the Guilford County Board of Education approved the cleanup of the boundaries for Union Hill Elementary and Jamestown Elementary along Harvey Road. This did not affect any current students.
