Early Entrance to Kindergarten

 

  • Does your preschooler learn quickly and remember things easily?
  • Can your preschooler use large vocabulary words when speaking or read independently?
  • Does your preschooler exhibit a strong sense of curiosity?
  • Does your preschooler enjoy working with  puzzles, or mazes?
  • Is your preschooler good at problem solving?

Your preschooler may be displaying signs of giftedness and could be ready for Early Entrance to Kindergarten. Gifted children are very precocious and ready to begin school by the age of 41/2. If your child is reading or ready to read, can easily solve math problems your child may be ready for the challenge of entering Kindergarten sooner than his/her peers.

According to the state guidelines, parents that are interested in enrolling their 4 ½ year-old child must submit a written request to the school to which their child would be assigned within the first thirty calendar days of the instructional school year.
