Futures for Kids 

The F4K/Career Cruising program enables parents of all GCS students in grades 6-12 to participate with their children in the powerful online career development program provided at no cost by the Futures for Kids non-profit organization.  All students have an online electronic portfolio that follows them throughout middle and high school where they can save all of their career exploration activities including interest, learning styles and skills assessment results.  They can join discussion boards monitored by N.C. Career Coaches who work in careers in which they are interested.  They can research education and scholarship opportunities, plan a work-based learning opportunity, build a resume and much more.

Click on the Career Cruising/F4K logo and then click on the Students icon.  At the Career Cruising home page, log in to your portfolio with your personal username and password.

Your portfolio username is the prefix “NC-” plus your NCWISE student ID  (e.g. NC-1234567), and your initial portfolio password is your birth date in mmddyyyy format (e.g. August 25th, 1990 --> 08251990).  You will be required to change your password when you log in the first time.  Please change it to something that you can remember.  If you add your email address to your personal profile, you can click the “Forgot Password?” link on the login page and enter your email address, and your portfolio username and password will be emailed to you.
