Suggestions & Recommendations

SOPHOMORES . . .
. . . who plan to take Advanced Placement courses, apply to the NC School of Math and Science, and NC Governor's School or any special program or institute should take the PSAT/NMSQT in October and check with their counselor about the ACT-SAT.

JUNIORS . . .
. . . who may have any intention toward attending college or applying for any scholarship program should take the PSAT/NMSQT in October and the SAT and/or ACT in March, May, or June. Early decision acceptance at some schools may require that achievement tests be taken in the junior year.
