Mariama and Anwar Ibrahim, students at Monticello-Brown Summit,
wondered how they could get their farm-raised turkey to the President
to help the First Family celebrate Thanksgiving. With help from their
father, the siblings wrote a letter to President Obama telling him
about the turkey they spent the last few months raising for his family.
The
President took notice of the unique gift, and on Wednesday, U.S.
Representative Brad Miller visited the family at their Brown Summit
farm and delivered a special letter from the President to the siblings.
The
students, who are both active in 4-H and compete in turkey-raising at
the State Fair, will certainly have a Thanksgiving to remember.
