Community Forum Scheduled for Southeast Area Elementary School

The Guilford County Board of Education will hold a community forum on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 to discuss and receive feedback on proposed sites for the southeast area elementary school. The forum will be held in the cafeteria at Southeast High from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The purpose of the forum is to inform parents and the community about the site selection process and alternatives considered, to discuss area land parcels with community representatives and to receive feedback from the public. The southeast area elementary school is one of the 2008 school bond projects.

The board welcomes comments from the public. Speakers will be asked to sign in with the board clerk at the meeting.
