Welcome to the GCS Northern Region Homepage.

Placing school resources closer to schools to enhance responsiveness and community involvement is the ultimate goal of GCS’ regional system of administration. Regionalization is a major part of Superintendent Maurice “Mo” Green’s Strategic Plan for GCS. The Northern Region consists of 23 schools, including 12 elementary schools, five middle schools, three high schools and three alternative schools. Our goal is to serve each child at each school, as well as their academic and family support systems, with respectful and responsive service. 

Through regionalization, school personnel can respond faster to the needs of students, teachers, parents and the community as a whole to help create a sense of community and common purpose.
