Saturday's Reading EOG Blast

Students who received an invitation to this Saturday's Reading EOG Blast, please remember to RSVP with Mrs. Smith. If you did not receive an invitation, but may be interested in attending, please see Mrs. Smith for an invitation. This will give you the extra review before your test. We will have fun activities, snacks, and you will feel ready to pass your EOG after attending!

Students Supporting Our Community

At our Spring Arts' Showcases and Performances, we are collecting items in the glass foyer of the Penn-Building before and during each concert. All donates will be given to Open door Ministry Shelter located on Centennial Street.

Items needed for donation:

  • Non-perishable foods
  • Towels
  • Men's Toiletries
  • Clean twin size sheets and/or blankets

Collection Dates:

  • April 30th,  Orchestra Concert
  • May 2nd,   Guitar Concert
  • May 7th,   Art Showcase and Piano Concert
  • May 9th,   Band Concert
  • May 21st, Chorus Concert
  • May 23rd, Dance Concert

 

Roadmap to Reading

GCS is challenging students to read enough minutes to travel across the country before January 2014! Read at least 20 minutes a day to reach 3,114 minutes - the distance from Cape Hatteras, NC to San Francisco, CA.  Keep up your reading log through the end of school and mark your reading calendars every day this summer.
