Rising 9th Grade Families:

 Welcome to Northern Guilford High School!  The PTSA is beginning to make plans for next school year. As you begin the high school experience with your child, we ask that you please consider giving of your time to the PTSA.  By offering to help, you are not committing to anything more than what you are able to give - whether it’s 30 minute pockets of time, or several hours a month, there is truly something for everyone.  Please take a moment to complete the attached interest survey - this is not binding, just information for us.  We will contact you to discuss more details. Don’t be afraid to jump in - we had three freshman parents serve as committee chairs this year, and many others help as committee members.

FALL FUNDRAISER Update! 

To obtain information about your magazine orders from our school magazine fundraiser please contact Great American Opportunities, Inc.  The website is: GAOTrak.com or call them at 877-289-6247 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday.  The frequency of magazine issues vary.  In general, allow 10 - 12 weeks for new subscriptions to start.  Renewals will start at the end of your current subscription.

 Although our Fall Fundraiser is over you can still purchase magazines or renew magazine subscriptions through Great American Opportunities, and we will earn 40% of each order placed. All subscriptions, new or renewed, will help us earn money. The money raised will be used to fund mini-grants submitted by our faculty to purchase educational materials and to support educational programs here at our school.

Book It program

 The PTSA sponsors a Book-it program where our students can submit their names and some information about the book(s) they read.  They can submit entry forms for each book that they complete.  At the end of each month we give a $10 gift card to Barnes and Noble and we stepped it up this year and at the end of each 9 weeks we are giving a Kindle to a lucky reader.  So encourage your children to turn in those entry forms.  They are available in the Media Center and most of the language arts teachers have them available as well.
