Welcome to Ferndale's Media Center Website

The Media Center is open from 8:30-3:40 during the school day. Students may visit the library for book circulation as needed. Many students come to check out new books during their AA class. Periodic whole-class checkout times are scheduled by the Language Arts teachers. If students need to come more often, they can come on a pass after getting permission from their teacher. The media center is available to students everyday for checkout, research, and computer use.

The media center also offers early morning access on Tuesday and Thursday mornings opening at 8:00 AM.  Students do need to request a pass from their teacher the day before to gain admittance to the media center.

Ferndale has purchased an exciting web-based Accelerated Reader Program to encourage student reading and allows teachers to evaluate student reading records.  Students take reading practice quizzes from the A.R. link.
Students and parents, check to see if a book is an A.R. book from the A.R. Book Finder website. Students and parents can also check on progess being made from home using A.R. Home Connect!
