The Early College Academies of
James Benson Dudley High School began the “Academy” concept in the late 1980s as a Math, Science, & Technology (MST) Academy deeming it the most established and oldest high school option/academy program in the district. The MST program offered an enriching 4-year curriculum of honors and advanced placement courses that placed heavy emphasis on these 3 areas. In 2002, the Magnet Academy concept was transformed into a High School Options Early College Academy. This initiative allows students to engage in a 3-year rigorous course of study at Dudley High and upon their success they will receive one year of cost-free tuition, fees and non-consumable books to a participating cohort college or university in Guilford County. Those who take full advantage of the senior dual-enrollment year avail themselves to the following benefits:

Ability to foster academic rigor, substantiate academic relevance and form beneficial relationships.
