Course goals and content: During the school, students taking Honors Spanish III and Honors Spanish IV will be exposed to advance Spanish. Throughout the course, students will learn and review complex Spanish grammar, as well learn to express themselves in both written and spoken Spanish. The targeted purpose of both classes is to well prepare students for AP/ IB Spanish.
Honors Spanish III- During the first nine weeks we will review Spanish taught in previous levels while growing our vocabulary. During the second nine weeks we will begin learning more complex grammar. It is most important that students study/ review nightly. Speaking in class is also important. Success begins with practice.
Honors Spanish IV- While taking this course, students will have ample opportunities to combine Spanish learned in previous levels as well as to build upon learned vocabulary. We will explore the Spanish-Speaking world through various types of Literature.
Types of evaluations: Homework 10% Daily work (individual and group participation) 10% Compositions 15% Quizzes 25% Chapter Tests or Major Tests 40%
