In January of 2013, GCS Superintendent Maurice "Mo" Green launched the Strategic Plan 2016, Achieving Educational Excellence: Personalizing Learning. The superintendent laid out the plan during the fourth annual State of Our Schools event, held on January 31, 2013, at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro. The Strategic Plan 2012 laid the foundation for the district's success, and the new plan will build upon it. The new plan is called Achieving Educational Excellence: Personalizing Learning and includes four areas: Area I: Personalized Learning Area II: Character, Service and Safety Area III: Parent, Family and Community Area IV: Educator and Organizational Excellence
Click on the links to the left to read more about the four areas of the Strategic Plan. We also included a page that explains how the plan was created with input from hundreds of students, employees, parents and community members. As we move through the process of developing the plan and working on the goals and strategies for each area, we will update this website with new details, including ways you can get involved on developing district initiatives. |
