Guilford County School Announce Jane Price as Employee of the Month

Fourteen employees at Triangle Lake Elementary nominated Jane Price for the district’s Employee of the Month program. Each nomination described a dedicated, good-natured employee who greets everyone with a “Hey Sweetie!” Each depicts a woman who appears at the school, even on the weekends, to open the doors for the school’s staff.

This woman spends her own money on cleaning supplies to supplement those at the school. She does this because she knows that clean environments contribute to better learning. In fact, for her birthday, she asked her husband to purchase a leaf blower; not for herself, but so that she could keep her school free of leaves, dust and debris.

As Employee of the Month, Price received a $50 gift card from Sam’s Club, which has partnered with GCS to support the employee recognition program. In addition, the Guilford County Board of Education will recognize her at its October 10 meeting.
