GCS and Sam’s Club to Honor District Employee of the Month

Do you know someone in the school district’s workforce who goes above and beyond the call of duty? Guilford County Schools and Sam’s Club have partnered to create an employee recognition program for Guilford County Schools’ employees.

The Guilford County Schools Employee of the Month program, sponsored by Sam’s Club, will recognize an employee each month who:

  • Demonstrates excellence in his/her job
  • Exhibits a “teamwork” attitude
  • Has made a significant contribution to the school district, employees, students and/or the community
  • Enthusiastically supports the mission of Guilford County Schools

“We have so many outstanding professionals in our schools and administrative offices, many of which are unsung heroes,” said Terry B. Grier, superintendent of Guilford County Schools. “We’re proud to partner with Sam’s Club in offering this program, which honors the steadfast commitment put forth by those in the district’s workforce.”

“School employees have a great reputation for their allegiance to students,” said Ron Evans, business manager for Sam’s Club. “That’s what we’re here to support.”

Full-time or part-time Guilford County Schools' employees may be nominated. All nominations must be received by the 10th day of each month. Each nomination will be considered once, so please feel free to resubmit each month.

Those selected as the district’s Employee of the Month will receive a $50 Sam’s Club gift card and a certificate of recognition from Guilford County Schools. In addition, the Employee of the Month’s photo will be displayed in the three central offices and at the winner’s work site.

Nomination forms are available at the Guilford County Schools three central office locations and at the district’s schools. Nominations may also be submitted online.
