AD/HD referrals

  • The IST process is completed on any referral where a physician or parent requests information about behaviors that are characterized by inattention and/or hyperactivity.

504 Referrals

  • The IST process is completed on any referral where a determination of whether Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is appropriate for a student.

Referrals for school-based alternative education programs

  • The IST process can be completed to help determine appropriateness of alternative education programs like school-within-a- school and behavior improvement classes.
