The Guilford County Board of Education meeting on June 9 will begin at 4 p.m. with a closed session that is anticipated to last until 6 p.m., at which time the board will reconvene into open session for its regular meeting.

The meeting will take place in the Board Room of the Administrative Offices, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro, NC.

During the meeting, the board will recognize the Guilford County Schools Employee and Volunteer of the Month for June 2009. Additionally, the board will recognize the state and national PTA reflections competition winners and the winter and spring sports state champions.

Guilford County Board of Education meetings are broadcast live on GCSTV 2 (cable channel 2) and re-air the day after the meeting at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the Saturday following the meeting at 1 p.m. To
