GCS’ Safe and Drug Free Schools department will apply for funding to sustain violence and substance abuse prevention services throughout the district.
Substance abuse and violence prevention classroom lessons will include presentations, health fairs, peer intervention programs, alternative to suspension services for students, bullying prevention and intervention, Red Ribbon Week activities, parent workshops, staff development and individual and group needs as identified throughout the year.
