The Guilford County Board of Education meeting on Thursday, June 25 will begin at 4 p.m. with a closed session that is anticipated to last until 6 p.m., at which time the board will reconvene into open session for its regular meeting.
The meeting will take place in the Board Room of the Administrative Offices, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro, NC.
During the meeting, the board will recognize Northwest High’s We the People team for its state and regional championship. The board will also recognize Mark Jewell, the outgoing president of the Guilford County Association of Educators.
Guilford County Board of Education meetings are broadcast live on GCSTV 2 (cable channel 2) and re-air the day after the meeting at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the Saturday following the meeting at 1 p.m. To watch the meeting online, visit http://www.gcsnc.com/depts/gcstv2/gcstv2live.htm.
