When electrical problems arise in the district’s 120 schools, a quick call to this foreman means the problem will be resolved in no time. Through his leadership, Phillip Fulton’s team quickly responds and fixes whatever needs to be done. While his crew has great respect for him professionally, they also know he’ll be there for them personally, as well, and that great relationship helps foster positive morale within his team.
Guilford County Schools (GCS) Director of Maintenance Gerald Greeson described Fulton as an exceptional employee who stops at nothing to help in any capacity. “He is the most honest, kind and ethical person I’ve ever met, without a doubt,” Greeson said. Because of his outstanding commitment to his work and colleagues, Fulton is the GCS November Employee of the Month.
As Employee of the Month, Fulton received a $50 gift card from Sam’s Club, which has generously partnered with GCS to support the employee recognition program. During the month of November, his photo will hang at the district’s central offices and the Sam’s Club on Wendover Avenue. In addition, the Guilford County Board of Education will recognize him at its Nov. 10 meeting.
