NBA's Charlotte Bobcats at Bluford Elementary - September 19, 2007

Bluford Elementary School and the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats have teamed up for a slam-dunk event. Bluford and the Bobcats made a surprise announcement complete with cheers, dances and even a visit from crowd-pleaser Rufus Lynx, the Bobcats mascot. Additionally, former North Carolina Tar Heel Raymond Felton showed students how they can be stars both on the court and in the classroom.

Bobcats Chief Operating Officer and President Fred Whitfield made a special appearance. A Greensboro native and Bluford alumnus, Whitfield—with the help of fellow Bobcats— gave back to the elementary school.
