Responsible Discipline Process

The Responsible Discipline Process assists school staff in developing a comprehensive school plan for improving discipline and teaching students how to behave responsibly in all school environments. The major goal of the process is to help school staff, students and parents work consistently and collaboratively toward improving student behavior and increasing motivation. Six schools began implementing the process during the 1999-2000 school year. Five additional schools are beginning the process this year. School psychologists serve as coaches, working with the Responsible Discipline teams at each school to guide the school through the process.
