Enchanted Learning
This site has extensive links to many science and social studies topics for elementary students, beginning with kindergarten. Some of them include animals, dinosaurs, oceans, geography, inventors, explorers, calendars and more! Be sure to check out the Zoom School.

Little Explorers(Picture Dictionary)
You will find excellent information on animals at this site. The information is also available in other languages: English-French, English-German, English-Portuguese, English-Spanish.

Ology
Presented by the American Museum of Natural History's Web site. Activities and information on dinosaurs and many other topics.

Scott Foresman Science
This site allows students to apply what they learn from their textbook. Here, students can access Chapter Connections for many online activities that extend and enhance the content of science lessons at school. Click on your grade level. The Spanish version is also available.

Uncle Fred gives step-by-step directions for drawing a picture. This is a great site for learning to follow directions.

NC WiseOwl
This is an excellent reference site. It includes encyclopedias, newspapers, magazines and more. Password required for home access. Contact your school media specialist for information on passwords.
