MAP Testing
This year’s first round of MAP testing will be September 27th. ALL 9th and 10th graders take the MAP test three times a year to see growth in Math and Reading. Southeast uses this data to determine students’ academic strengths and needs. While 9th and 10th graders test, 11th and 12th graders will be on campus accessing their work via Canvas or completing enrichment or remediation activities. The Math test will occur during 3rd block (12:18-2:19) and Reading will occur during 4th block (2:25-4:25). While testing is occurring, students will not be able to check-out/leave early; please plan accordingly if you have appointments or other obligations. While we are running an adjusted bell schedule, students will still report to all four blocks. We are looking forward to seeing all students from all grade levels (9-12). Students should bring a fully charged device along with charging cord to testing.
Vaccinations
North Carolina law requires all 12th graders to receive a booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV). Students must present proof of immunizations to the office. If they do not get the vaccine and show documentation of it, schools are required by law to suspend them after 30 days starting from the first day of school. Suspension will start on September 28, 2023. Contact your family doctor or the Guilford County Department of Public Health (336-641-3245) to schedule an appointment.
